How Preso protects your financial data

What Preso can see, what it can’t, and what protects it — in plain language.

We never see your bank login

You connect through Plaid — for most banks, on the bank’s own sign-in page. Your username and password never reach Preso.

Read-only by design

Preso can see balances and transactions. It can’t move money, pay bills, or change anything at your bank.

Encrypted everywhere

Enforced HTTPS in transit. Bank-connection tokens are encrypted in our database, with keys stored separately — and our servers run in a private network, not directly reachable from the internet.

Analytics that can’t read your finances

Every number and text field is masked in your browser before analytics are sent. We never sell your data.

AI that stays private

AI answers run inside our private cloud environment. Your data is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else’s.

You stay in control

Optional two-factor authentication. Disconnect a bank any time — syncing stops immediately.

What happens when you connect a bank

You pick your bank and sign in on its own page (or Plaid’s) — Preso never sees your credentials.

Plaid hands Preso a read-only token. It can fetch transactions; it can’t touch your money.

That token is encrypted before it’s stored in our database.

Disconnect any time in Settings — syncing stops immediately, and support can delete your data on request.

Plain answers

Can Preso move my money?

No. The connection is read-only. There is no way to send payments, transfer funds, or change your accounts.

Do you store my bank username and password?

No — we never receive them. Preso stores only a revocable, encrypted token that permits reading your account data.

Do you sell my data?

No. Preso is paid for by subscriptions, not your data. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models.

What happens when I disconnect a bank?

Syncing stops immediately and the token is revoked. Contact support if you also want your historical data deleted.

How does the AI see my data?

Your question is answered inside our private cloud environment. The model doesn’t retain your data or train on it.
